Dan Vonnegut began playing the drums and guitar when he was
nine. He studied music at University of Miami and
Indiana University, where he earned an BA in jazz
music and culture. For the past ten years, he has
been a professional, freelance drummer and
multi-instrumental music teacher in New York City.
He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two young
children (who love music!)

Rachel Friedman is a native New Yorker who grew up surrounded by
music. She has a B.A. in writing and performance
from Hampshire College and is a
singer/writer/storyteller. She was a youth
counselor at Project Reach on the Lower East Side
and loves sharing her creative skills with
children. Rachel is a back-up vocalist for
various artists, and has performed at such venues
as Joe's Pub and Dixon Place. She can be heard in
the upcoming film, "Shortbus."

Seung Hee Han is a jazz singer, and a graduate of Berklee
College of Music, with a Masters from the New
England Conservatory Of Music. She teaches voice
and piano at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music
and performs with a jazz trio.

Jennifer Hopkins is a veteran singer and dancer, having performed
professionally in musical theater locally and
nationally. She is also a dance teacher who has
taught children of all ages ballet, tap and jazz
over the last decade. Her current music and
movement muses are daughters Emma, 7, Lucie, 5,
and Kathryn, 1. Jennifer is a registered Music
Together teacher and has been teaching in the
neighborhood for the last two years.

Jeanine LaBarbera studied voice at the Berklee College of Music,
and has performed in venues as diverse as Star
Search and Lincoln Center. She is a natural with
children and delights in nurturing their musical
play.

Justin Lioi has been working as an actor and writer in NY
for a number of years and is a member of the
Attic Salt Theater Company. He has a degree in
Music, Voice and Musical Theater.

Nikolai Moderbacher recently released Tabula Rasa, his first album
of parent-friendly childrens music.
Nikolai also holds an MFA in wood/furniture, a
side of him that presently takes second place to
his career as an early-childhood music teacher.
His daughter is now 4+ years old and still the
sparkplug of her parents life. When hes not
teaching music, he can usually be found cooking or
simply wondering why children dont seem to enjoy
going to sleep. Any ideas?

Victoria Salmeri has a BFA in Arts Management
from C.W. Post College. Her background includes
singing in bands and choirs, choreographing
modern dance pieces and performing in musical
theatre. After a brief stint in Information
Technology, Victoria is happy to be back to her
musical roots. She credits her mom, who sang with
her from an early age, with her love of music.

Melissa Stylianou Since moving to New York in 2005, vocalist Melissa
Stylianou has established herself in the
contemporary jazz scene. Originally from
Toronto, Canada, she graduated from Ryerson
Theatre School with a diploma in Acting and can be
seen on Canadian television on the hit
kids' TV show "Foursquare". She plays at jazz
clubs all over the city and has performed at
venues such as Birdland, Jazz Standard and
Carnegie Hall. She will be recording her fourth
album this spring.
An experienced educator, Melissa has taught at
National Music Camp,Humber College and University
of Toronto and teaches voice privately.

Stephen Taylor earned a degree in economics from Middlebury
College and has been teaching Music Together for
two years. He began teaching SuperGrooves
last fall in Brooklyn, and has now expanded the
program into Manhattan. He creates and performs
multimedia art as Supergood (www.supergood.org)
and has a cat named Lilly.

Toby Williams is a vocalist, voice teacher and music therapist
with a master's degree from NYU. She works with
developmentally delayed and autistic children as
well as adults with mental illnesses.
Toby performs regularly in NYC with her jazz
trio and her band, Cocktail Angst. Toby has
been teaching Music Together since 2001; plays
piano and guitar; and believes whole-heartedly
in family music making and silliness.

Theresa Wozunk (Director) has a B.A. in Theater Arts from
Rutgers, and spent 15 years performing with
ballet, musical and dramatic theater companies.
She is also a writer whose plays have been
produced off-off-Broadway. She has earned Level I
Certification in Music Together and Orff-
Schulwerk.

Michelle Zilles has been teaching Music Together in this
community for many years. She loves singing,
dancing, guitar picking and sharing the joy of
family music making. Michelle has taught early
music theory classes at the Lucy Moses School
and at the Musical Bridge of Brooklyn program at
the Music
Together Center. She has directed many
children's theater performances with Creative
Theatrics and has taught acting workshops at The
Children's Museum of Manhattan. Michelle
currently works at Heartsong, a music therapy
program for children with developmental
disablilties. She holds a BFA in Acting from
Boston University and is pursuing an MA in Music
Therapy at NYU. Michelle and her husband Michael
recently welcomed their beautiful baby daughter
Ula.
